Antique printed color maps reproduced from the original paintings by Ernest Clegg, published by the Country Life Magazine, 1925. Recto map shows Cape Cod and the Islands, Verso map shows the coast of Maine, with an inset map of Mount Desert Island. These maps were designed to look like ancient maps, with a decorative cartouche, compass rose, and pictorial illustrations around the map, as well as ships and sea monsters. Maps also feature passages of text throughout the map regarding historical events and facts. Each side includes a small paragraph of text below the map. Good to Very Good overall antique condition, with mild toning/wrinkling of the paper and some minor roughing of the outer edges. Recto Map (Cape Cod and Islands) measures approximately 7.5" 9.75" (H x W) to the neatline. Verso Map (Coast of Maine) measures approximately 7" x 11.5" to the neatline. **SOLD**
