Antique hand colored map of the United States in 1864, during the Civil War, with states and territories delineated by color. Western states and Canada in an early configuration, with "Dacotah" absorbing both present-day Dakotas, Idaho containing Montana and Wyoming, and Oklahoma marked as "Indian Territory. The boundaries of Nevada and Utah were still being adjusted. Includes insets of Pensacola Bay and Hampton Roads and Norfolk Harbor, and showing detail of cities and towns, water bodies, roads, and many interesting notations regarding Native American tribes. Shows routes of Pony Express, and mail route to the west. Good to very good condition with some minor spotting , small edge tears, and a seam separation at bottom into map (archivally repaired) as well as a smaller separation at top. Should look excellent when framed. Approx. 13.25 x 21 inches. Priced as-is. **SOLD**
