Antique map of Virginia from the American Pocket Atlas by Mathew Carey, 1804 edition, this map engraved by W. Barker. Shows towns, main roads, rivers, lakes, hills/mountains, etc. This map was published long before West Virginia split from Virginia in the 1860s. Includes "Washington City, Terr. of Columbia", Washington DC. Very good restored condition; this map has been archivally cleaned but retains some minor stains/tiny spots. Measures approx. 7.5 x 5.75 inches to the neatline.
