Antique hand colored map from "Atlas of Physical Geography" published by c.1850 by Petermann and Milner, engraved by J Dower. This map shows Palestine and the adjacent countries, as they were at the time. An inset graph is included, showing the Climatological History of the Months in Palestine. Some orographical and Climatological information is detailed in the main map, and an explanation for it's notation is provided in the bottom right corner. Very good antique condition, with minimal foxing and some minor spots/staining around the margin. Measures approximately 10.5 by 14 inches.
