Antique page with illustrations and map from The Illustrated London News, January 14, 1854. The Crimean War (1854-56) was fought by an alliance of Britain, France, Turkey and Sardinia against Russia. Images include Obelisk at Constantinople, Burgas on the Black Sea, The Town of Galata at Constantinople, and Residence of Prince Gortschakoff near Bucharest. Very good condition with minor signs of age. Could be hand-colored by our professional colorist for an additional cost (please contact us if interested). Page measures approx. 16 x 11.25 inches.

Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire pattern- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the print- these are not in the print and we can try to take more photos if you are concerned.
