Â
Antique comparative map with early printed color showing principal mountains, rivers and lakes in the world as known in 1864. The source of the Nile was not yet known. The key to the mountains, which are numbered by continent, is on a separate sheet no included with the map, however we can include a print-out of the key on request (although it is unclear which edition our photocopied key is from). Very good antique condition with toning of the paper, some minor paper loss at page edges, and some small tears at the paper edges which have been fixed with archival tape. Measures approx. 16.5 x 25 inches to the neatline.
