Antique comparative map with early printed color showing principal mountains, rivers and lakes in the world as known in 1861. The source of the Nile was not yet known. Also includes a printed copy of the key to the mountains on a separate sheet, which are numbered by continent (the key is from the 1864 atlas and may not match up perfectly to the 1861 map). Good antique condition with toning of the paper, mild spotting/staining, and a small seam separation at bottom. Measures approx. 16.5 x 25 inches to the neatline. Priced based on condition.
