Antique comparative map with early printed color showing principal mountains, rivers and lakes in the world as known in 1862. The source of the Nile was not yet known. Also includes a printed copy of the key to the mountains on a separate sheet, which are numbered by continent (the key is from the 1864 atlas and may not match up perfectly to the 1862 map). The blue printed color is slightly offset. Fair to good antique condition with toning of the paper, spoting/staining, and a seam separation at bottom. Measures approx. 16.5 x 25 inches to the neatline. Priced as-is.
