Antique print of a Congo serpent eagle or Congo snake eagle, published in The Ibis, A Quarterly Journal of Ornithology Fourth Series, Vol 2, 1878. This species is distributed across the African tropical rainforest, including upper and lower Guinean forests. This is a lithograph print with original hand-coloring. Very good antique condition with mild toning. Measures approx. 8.5 x 5.5 inches to the paper edges.
