Antique map from the Atlas of Bergen Co. New Jersey, 1876, by Walker and Pease. Includes property owners' names in 1876. North is oriented to the lower right. Engraving illustrations of Hackensack First Reformed Church and County Courthouse on reverse. 

In 1871, Midland Township (now Rochelle Park) was created from the northern portions of New Barbadoes Township.

The Hackensack Commission was formed within New Barbadoes Township in 1868. New Barbadoes Township remained in existence until 1921 when it was replaced by the City of Hackensack.

Very good overall antique condition, with mild overall toning, minor spots and stains, and a separation at bottom along the fold. Measures approximately 16 x 26 inches.
