Antique hand-colored map of what is now Harding Township and Long Hill Township, then called Passaic, New Jersey, from the Atlas of Morris County, NJ, published by F.W. Beers, A.D. Ellis, and G.G. Soule in 1868. Originally incorporated as Passaic Township in the 1860s, Harding Township was formed from the North part of Passaic Township on September 1, 1922, and later residents in the remaining portion of Passaic Township voted to change the town's name to Long Hill Township in 1992. This map shows property owners names with roads and some topography. Inset maps of Green Village and New Vernon. Very good antique condition with a mild water stain in the lower right and a tight margin at left. A few minor spots. Measures approx. 14 x 11 inches to the neatline.
