Shows the changes to the coast according to various surveys from 1779 (Des Barres) to 1855 (US Coast Survey). The diagram on the right shows Sandy Hook from the lighthouse to the Ocean House, and the diagram on the left is a close-up of Sandy Hook Head. Includes water depths, sailing directions. Very good condition with some mild spots and slight toning. Folds as issued. Recent hand-coloring. Measures approx. 15 x 11.25 inches to the neatline
