Antique hand-colored map of part of the Atlantic Highlands borough of New Jersey. Published in Wolverton's Atlas of Monmouth County, New Jersey, 1889. Includes points of interest, steam railroads, streetcars, water mains, and the names of some property owners at the time of publication. Buildings are colored to indicate their construction material type (stone, brick, or frame,) and marked to indicate if they are a residence/business, or a barn/stable, etc. Center fold, as issued. Very good antique condition with some wrinkling and toning, which are mainly concentrated at the outer edges of the paper, as well as a few spots of mild foxing within the map area. Very tight margins on both sides, with the upper right side of the mape extending into the outer edge of the paper. Measures approximately 18.25" x 28.25" to the neatline.
