Antique hand-colored map of part of the city of Long Branch, New Jersey. Published in Wolverton's Atlas of Monmouth County, New Jersey, 1889. Includes points of interest, as well as steam railroads, streetcars, water mains, and the names of some property owners at the time of publication. Buildings are colored to indicate their construction material type (stone, brick, or frame,) and marked to indicate if they are a residence/business, or a barn/stable, etc. Center fold, as issued. Good to Very good antique condition with some wrinkling and toning, which are mainly concentrated at the outer edges of the paper, a few spots of foxing/staining and some minor wrinkling within the map area, as well as a few notes of information written in pencil by a previous owner. Map extends to the outer edges of the paper at the top, bottom, and left side, leaving no margin in these places. Measures approximately 18.25" x 27.25" to the neatline.
