Antique hand-colored map of Manasquan, New Jersey, with an inset map of Brielle, New Jersey. Published in Wolverton's Atlas of Monmouth County, New Jersey, 1889. Includes points of interest, as well as steam railroads, streetcars, water mains, and the names of some property owners at the time of publication. Buildings are colored to indicate their construction material type (stone, brick, or frame,) and marked to indicate if they are a residence/business, or a barn/stable, etc. Center fold, as issued. Very good antique condition with some wrinkling and toning, which are mainly concentrated at the outer edges of the paper, and a few spots of minor foxing/staining, as well as some notes written in pencil by a previous owner. There is some minor edge wear along the bottom outer edge as well. Very tight margins along the top and bottom of the page, with the map extending nearly to the outer edges of the paper. Measures approximately 18.25" x 28.25" to the neatline.
