Antique hand-colored map of present-day Matawan, New Jersey. Published in Wolverton's Atlas of Monmouth County, New Jersey, 1889. Includes points of interest, public roads, private roads, school houses, churches, cemeteries, post offices, streams, marshes, and names of some property owners at the time of publication. School districts are prominently labeled. Very good antique condition with some wrinkling and toning, mainly at the outer edges of the paper, and a few spots of foxing/staining. Measures approximately 18.25" x 13" to the neatline.
