Antique hand colored map of a northern portion of Scotland, from the bottom of the Western Islands to the top of the Orkney Islands, by Thomson, c. 1815. Map is colored by county (or shire) with towns, some roads, and topographic information. Features an inset illustration showing a View of the Island of Staffa. Visible plate mark. Good overall antique condition, with mild toning and wrinkling throughout, a minor tear at the bottom left (which has been archivally repaired) and fold which is uneven, but is as issued. Measures approximately 19.75" x 23" (H x W) to the neatline. *Note: Priced As Is.
