Maker: Valentine's Manual

Antique color lithograph folding print published in D. T. Valentine's 1862 manual of New York City, shows a view of men standing on top of the uncompleted South Gate Pump House on the Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis Resevoir in Central Park, Manhattan. The Gate House was truly a marvel of engineering for its time and provided a steady supply of drinking water for the island of Manhattan.
