Genuine Antique Print

1861

Maker: Valentine's Manual

Antique color lithograph print published in D. T. Valentine's 1861 manual of New York City, shows a view of a pyrimidical section of the Transaatlantic Cable being drawn by horse-team through the city, with sailors of the ship Niagara carrying a model of the vessel behind. The caption for this lithograph is in error as it actually depicts the American Express Car, not the Adams & Co Express Wagon. Good condition, approximately 4.5" x 7" to the paper edges.
