Maker: Valentine's Manual

Antique color lithograph print published in D. T. Valentine's 1861 manual of New York City, shows a view of crowd gathered at New York City Hall watching a fireworks display and pyrotechnics show upon the completion of the Transatlantic Cable in 1858. The two cable ships "Agammemnon" and "Niagara" were constructed out of lights for the occasion on either side along with the words "The Last Naval Engagement Between Columbia And Brittania, a Tie" Good condition, approximately 4.5" x 7" to the paper edges.
