Maker: Valentine's Manual
Antique color lithograph print published in D. T. Valentine's 1861 manual of New York City, shows a view of spectators inside the Crystal Palace gathered to watch the beginning of the Transatlantic Cable ceremonies. The awe-inspiring glass structure whose interior is depicted here would be completely destroyed in a fire just one month after this lithograph was made in October, 1858. Good condition, approximately 7" x 4.5" to the paper edges.
