Maker: G.M. Hopkins Co.
Antique map from the Atlas of Westchester County, New York, Volume Four, published by G.M. Hopkins Co. in 1930. This map is the Index map for the atlas, and includes the towns of Cortland, Yorktown, Somers, North Salem, Lewisboro, Bedford, Newcastle, Mount Pleasant, North Castle, Poundridge, and Villages of Peekskill, Croton on Hudson, Ossining, Briarcliff Manor, Pleasantville, Mount Kisco, and more. The red marks on this map indicate on which plate in the atlas that area is enlarged. Includes a subplan of the southern-most portion, as well as an index map of the whole of Westchester County. A "system of coloring" is indicated, however there is no evidence that any of the maps in this atlas were colored. It is possible that it was a mistake, or that coloring was optional. The atlas was reissued the next year with color. Fair condition with tape on the left side at the tab and also at the bottom near "Recorded Lot Plans." Some wear at the edges and normal toning at the edges. Measures approx. 23.5 x 33.5 inches.
