Antique print published in the Documentary History of the State of New York, by Richard H. Pease, 1849. This handsome print was made in 1849, copied from an earlier print of 1815. In the image, ships float on the water in the distance, some smaller boats approach the shore, with carriages drawn by horses to meet them, some soldiers are shown in clusters and two in the foreground, one holding a telescope. BLack and white steel engraving. Could be hand-colored by our professional artist for an additional $40. Image measures approx. 3.75 x 6.75 inches, while the paper is approx. 9 x 11.25 inches. Very good antique condition with some small spots in the margin, slight waviness to the antique paper.
