Rare pictorial map of East Hampton, Long Island, NY drawn by Warren Whipple in 1948. This map was made for the 300th anniversary of the town and is filled with historical notes. Illustrations throughout depict notable buildings and events. A star near a building indicates the residents are descendants of the original family. Decorative border includes additional historical facts. Measures approx. 20.75 x 33 inches to the neatline. Very good condition with some minor creasing/wrinkles, a small spot in lower right. Paper has watermark from the paper manufacturing company.
