Antique hand-colored map of Candor, New York, published in the Atlas of Tioga County, by Beers, Ellis, and Soule, 1869. Map is colored by district and shows the names of property owners at time of publication, as well as railroads, businesses, schools, post offices, etc. Includes a subscriber's business directory for the town. Very good antique condition with toning of the paper throughout, which is darker outside the neatline, minor image overlay, mild seam separation at the left side, a couple small tears at the outer edges, and some spots of foxing. Center fold, as issued. Measures approximately 21.25" x 14" to the neatline, with the map extending beyond the neatline at both sides.
