Antique hand-colored map of Newark Valley, New York, published in the Atlas of Tioga County, by Beers, Ellis, and Soule, 1869. Map is colored by district and shows the names of property owners at time of publication, as well as railroads, businesses, schools, post offices, churches, etc., and some topographical details. Very good antique condition with toning of the paper throughout, which is darker outside the neatline, a few spots of foxing/soiling, and a small tear at the bottom outer edge of the paper. Measures approximately 11" x 13.75" to the neatline.
