Antique print from the Atlas to Barclay's Universal English Dictionary, Newly Revised by B.B. Woodward, published by Virtue & Company circa 1850. Undated. This print features Edward IV, also called (until 1459) Earl of March, (born 1442—died 1483), king of England from 1461 until October 1470 and again from April 1471 until his death in 1483. He was a leading participant in the Yorkist-Lancastrian conflict known as the Wars of the Roses. Very good antique condition, backed on fabric with some mild spots and stains. Measures approx. 11 x 8.5 inches to the paper edges.
