Antique print from the Atlas to Barclay's Universal English Dictionary, Newly Revised by B.B. Woodward, published by Virtue & Company circa 1850. Undated. This print features Henry VIII, (born 1491—died 1547), king of England (1509–47) who presided over the beginnings of the English Renaissance and the English Reformation. He is popularly remembered for his six wives and the ruthless way he discarded people. Good antique condition, backed on fabric with some spots and stains. Measures approx. 11 x 8.5 inches to the paper edges.
