c. 1870s-1880s
Maker: Unknown.
Antique uncolored map of Paris by an unknown maker, probably c. 1870s-1880s. This map shows Paris with complete city walls and the complete Chemin de fer de Petite Ceinture (railway around the city). The Eiffel Tower is not yet in existence. This map is comprised of four joined sheets and seems to be similar to the set of maps of Paris produced by the Weekly Dispatch. At some point someone trimmed the map at the border, removing the margins and any maker information that may have been outside the border. This map has been archivally restored, cleaned, deacidified, and backed with linen. Very good condition with some visible repaired tears and seams. Approx. 28.5 x 37 inches to the neatline. Special Sale! Was $550, Now $375!
