Antique hand-colored map of a portion of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. From the Town and City Atlas of the State of New Hampshire, by D.H. Hurd, 1892. Where the wharves are on this map is now Prescott Park. Includes the names of property owners at the time of publication. Original hand-coloring with pink indicating businesses, yellow indicating residences, and green for cemeteries. Very good antique condition with mild toning of the paper, and a couple spots of very minor foxing/soiling. Measures approx. 13 x 17.25 inches.
