Genuine Antique Hand Colored Map

1914

Maker: Bromley.

Antique hand colored map of part of West Roxbury, Massachusetts from the "Atlas of the City of Boston, West Roxbury, from Actual Surveys and Official Plans by George W. and Walter S. Bromley", published in 1914. This map shows a largely residential area from Perkins and Sheridan Streets to Spring Park Avenue and lists the Massachusetts Infants Asylum, St. Peters Church, Hyde Square, etc., with roads, railroads, public spaces, property owners' names, major land and water features, etc. Note: The area that was called West Roxbury in 1914 is different from the area we know as West Roxbury now. Very good antique condition with overall foxing and toning of paper, general signs of age; fold at center, as issued. Approx. 21.5 x 32 inches to the neatline.
