Antique hand colored map of Eastchester, Mt Vernon, Pelham, New Rochelle, City Island, part of what is now the Bronx, showing railroad, streets and roads, schools, and land owners' names. In the 1860s much of the land was farmland and marsh, but this map shows the new developments of Mount Vernon and Wakefield, which are a glimpse at the future of the area. Very good overall antique condition, matted, map size 15.5 x 11.75 inches.
