Genuine Antique Printed Color Map

1916

Maker: Bromley.

Antique printed color map of part of Manhattan, New York City, from the Atlas of New York City, Borough of Manhattan, by Bromley, 1916. Shows Cathedral Parkway to W 116th and Eighth Ave (Frederick Douglass Blvd) (Frederick Douglass Blvd) to Lenox Ave with Samuel Marx Triangle (unnamed). The explanation key for this atlas was only included on the index map- pink indicates brick, yellow is frame (wood), an X means the building is a stable, the numbers and letters on each building indicate the number of stories of the building and whether it has a basement, store, or saloon (see index image for full explanation). Very good antique condition with toning overall. Sheet measures approx. 11.5 x 16.25 inches. Double-sided sheet has NYC073A on one side and NYC073B on the other side (please add only one of these two maps to your cart).
