Genuine Antique Printed Color Map

1916

Maker: Bromley.

Antique printed color map of part of Manhattan, New York City, from the Atlas of New York City, Borough of Manhattan, by Bromley, 1916. Shows W 122nd to W 127th and Amsterdam Ave to Eighth Ave (Frederick Douglass Blvd) (Frederick Douglass Blvd) with the Hancock Place and Morningside Park. The explanation key for this atlas was only included on the index map- pink indicates brick, yellow is frame (wood), an X means the building is a stable, the numbers and letters on each building indicate the number of stories of the building and whether it has a basement, store, or saloon (see index image for full explanation). Good antique condition with toning overall with wear and paper loss at the paper edges. Sheet measures approx. 11.5 x 16.25 inches. Double-sided sheet has NYC083A on one side and NYC083B on the other side (please add only one of these two maps to your cart).
