Genuine Antique Printed Color Map

1916

Maker: Bromley.

Antique printed color map of part of Manhattan, New York City, from the Atlas of New York City, Borough of Manhattan, by Bromley, 1916. Shows W 145th to W 151st and Amsterdam Ave to Eighth Ave (now Frederick Douglass Blvd), with Colonial Park (now Jackie Robinson Park). The explanation key for this atlas was only included on the index map- pink indicates brick, yellow is frame (wood), an X means the building is a stable, the numbers and letters on each building indicate the number of stories of the building and whether it has a basement, store, or saloon (see index image for full explanation). Very good antique condition with toning overall and some minor tears and paper loss at bottom. Paper is fragile. Sheet measures approx. 11.5 x 16.25 inches. Double-sided sheet has NYC100A on one side and NYC100B on the other side (please add only one of these two maps to your cart).
