Genuine Antique Printed Color Map

1916

Maker: Bromley.

Antique printed color map of part of Manhattan, New York City, from the Atlas of New York City, Borough of Manhattan, by Bromley, 1916. Shows W 167th to W 173rd and Broadway to Harlem River, with Highbridge Park, a reservoir, and the Croton Aqueduct. The explanation key for this atlas was only included on the index map- pink indicates brick, yellow is frame (wood), an X means the building is a stable, the numbers and letters on each building indicate the number of stories of the building and whether it has a basement, store, or saloon (see index image for full explanation). Very good antique condition with toning overall with damage at paper edges. Image is slight faded in places. Paper is fragile. Sheet measures approx. 11.5 x 16.25 inches. Double-sided sheet has NYC111A on one side and NYC111B on the other side (please add only one of these two maps to your cart).
