Antique lithograph by Julius Bien & Co published in the Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies published under the direction of the Hon. Daniel S. Lamont, Secretary of War, 1893. The atlas was published as a companion piece to the Official Records of the American Civil War. It contains maps and other images derived from materials generated by both Union and Confederate military personnel during the American Civil War. The atlas was printed in 35 parts between 1891 and 1895. Printed color indicates topography and Union or Confederate locations. Good condition with image transfer, a few minor spots/stains and a touch of foxing, and some staining and wear to the paper edges. This map has some darker areas, mild paper loss in margins, and a deeper fold at center. Measures approx. 16 x 27 inches to the outer border lines.
