Antique uncolored engravings of dog breeds in the 1850s, published in Gleason's Pictorial Drawing-Room Companion, 1854. Dogs include: The Newfoundland Dog, Scotch Shepherd Dog (Shetland Sheepdog?), the Griffon, Blenheim and King Charles Spaniels, Poodle, Bulldog, Mastiff, Dog of Mount St Bernard, and more. Set of two sheets, first sheet has text about the dog breeds, second sheet's text discuses the Canadian Beaver. Very good condition with mild signs of age, mild toning. Measures approximately 15" x 10.5" (H x W) to paper edges.
