Antique steel engraving print published in The Scenery of The United States by D. Appleton and Co, shows a view of the Niagara River outlet flowing into Lake Ontario with steamboat and cliffs in distance. The name Niagara supposedlyderives from the name of an Iroquois town called Ongniaahra, meaning "point of land cut in two." Good condition, approximately 8" x 11" to the paper edges.
