Genuine Antique Print

1856

Maker: Hunt / Ackermann

Antique print of a horse race drawn by Charles Hunt and published by Ackermann & Company from 1856. This print was part of a series that shows the race; this is plate 3 and shows the double stone wall. Some riders appear to be having a difficult time with the walls! Onlookers stand to the side to watch the participants, some of whom are named at the bottom. A dynamic riding scene with vibrant original hand-coloring. Good to very good antique condition with some wrinkles/creases in the image at the bottom and some tears on the edges that were repaired with non-archival tape that has stained the paper, but does not affect the image.

Genuine Antique Print from 1856
