Antique print showing a scene of steamboats along the Mississippi River, with onlookers pointing in the foreground towards a view of St. Louis, Missouri in the background. Published in Gleason's Pictorial Drawing-Room Companion, 1854. There is a portrait of Commodore David Porter, with text surrounding, above the image of St. Louis. Paper has been folded by a previous owner. Good to Very good antique condition with mild toning of the paper throughout, and a few spots of soiling and staining around the edges of the illustration. Portion of page with the illustration and caption measures approximately 6.75" x 11".
