Antique engraved illustration showing Pike's Peak, CO viewed from the Garden of the Gods near modern Colorado Springs. There is a smaller image of Upper Twin Lake in California on the back side along with text. Published in William Cullen Bryant's classic 1872 work, "Picturesque America." Very good overall antique condition with mild toning throughout and some tiny spots in the margins. Page measures approximately 12.5" x 9.75" (H x W) overall. Could be hand colored by our professional colorist for an additional cost- please contact us if you are interested in having it colored. Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire pattern- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the print- these are not in the print and we can try to take more photos if you are concerned.
