Antique black and white print from Harper's Weekly August 25, 1883 showing scenes of farming and food production for the city of New York. The article relating to the image (not included) begins "Long Island from one end to the other, Staten Island, New Jersey, Westchester County, and a large part of Connecticut are the points from which New York receives the greater portion of its vegetables." Good to very good antique condition with mild toning, some mild wrinkling of the old paper, and a slight crease at center. Measures approx. 16.5 x 11 inches to the paper edges. Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire effect- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the engraved print- these are not in the print.
