Antique black and white print from Harper's Weekly September 24, 1881 showing the original Hemenway Gymnasium. This building was later demolished in 1938. Good antique condition with some wrinkling / creasing of the old paper, minor wear and tears at the paper edges, and mild toning. Measures approx. 16.5 x 11.25 inches to the paper edges. Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire effect- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the engraved print- these are not in the print.
