Antique black and white print from Harper's Weekly March 3, 1883 showing part of the original campus of Boston University. This page shows Jacob Sleeper Hall, located on Beacon Hill, as well as images of the men's and ladies' studies. The University moved to its present location in the 1920s-30s. This building became Burrough's Newspaper Foundation in the early 1900s and was likely later demolished. Good antique condition with some wear and tear at the paper edges and mild toning. Measures approx. 16 x 10.5 inches to the paper edges. Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire effect- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the engraved print- these are not in the print.
