Maker: Harper's Weekly
Antique hand-colored print from Harper's Weekly December 30, 1876 showing a lighthouse keeper at work on Christmas Eve, bravely and precariously perched on a railing during a snow storm, apparently scraping ice off the glass of the lighthouse. Recent hand-coloring. Good antique condition with some wear and tear at the paper edges and mild toning. Measures approx. 16 x 10.5 inches to the paper edges. Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire effect- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the engraved print- these are not in the print.
