Digitally Engraved Specialty Reproduction

Maker: Reproduction

High-quality hand-printed reproduction of an antique view of southern New York City and Brooklyn, originally published in the Supplement to Harper's Weekly, November 19, 1870, showing the Brooklyn Bridge. Made using a combination of modern technology and traditional methods, wherein an original is scanned, its likeness is digitally etched onto an engraving plate, then the plate is used to print the image in the traditional way, with a printing press. Measures approx. 17.5" x 23.25" in total. For other reproductions made in this method, please see the left side bar category "Digitally Engraved Specialty Reproductions". Note: any "rainbows" or strange patterns in the image are called moire pattern- caused by taking a digital photo or scan of the many parallel lines in the print- these are not in the print and we can try to take more photos if you are concerned.
