Antique map from the Atlas of Bergen Co. New Jersey, 1876, by Walker and Pease. North is oriented to the lower left. Saddle River Township and East Passaic maps with engravings of Acker and Knowles residences on the reverse. This is the historical township of Saddle river. It includes the area from the junction of Saddle River and Passaic River to Glen Rock. Saddle River Township broke up to form the modern municipalities of Garfield, Elmwood Park, Fair Lawn, and Saddle Brook. Original hand-coloring. Lithograph illustrations on back of map - Fair Lawn Residence and Grounds and Millbank Residence of David Knowles. Very good overall antique condition with toning, some slightly darker toning at center fold. Approximately 16 x 26 inches.
