High-quality hand-printed and hand-colored reproduction of Sardinia, Italy, published by Coronelli in his Corso Geogrpaphico, c. 1690. With a decorative cartouche, two coats of arms, and scale of miles. This reproduction was made using a combination of modern technology and traditional methods, wherein an original is scanned, its likeness is digitally etched onto an engraving plate, then the plate is used to print the image in the traditional way, with a printing press. It is then hand colored. Approx. 9.25 x 29.25 inches to image border. Total sheet size is 13.75 x 39 inches. Printed on heavy paper that has an antique appearance. Has some imperfections that give the map a more authentic look. Because these are hand colored, the coloring may vary slightly from the photo.
