High quality hand-printed and hand-colored reproduction of an antique print of a large ship at sea. The image was printed onto antique paper (circa 1700s) with beautiful handwriting throughout. The writing is in Italian. Made using a combination of modern technology and traditional methods, wherein an original is scanned, its likeness is digitally etched onto an engraving plate, then the plate is used to print the image in the traditional way, with a printing press. The map is then hand colored. Some of the color has a sparkle to it. Measures approximately 12 x 16.5 inches to the paper edges.
