Antique map of Georgia along with East and West Florida from Morse's Universal Geography published by Thomas & Andrews in 1796 (engraved by Doolittle). A fascinating map published shortly after the Revoolutionary War, where Georgia stretches to the Mississippi River, Florida is broken into East and West, and some early county boundaries are indicated on the east side of Georgia. Shows Native American Indian areas and the locations of specific tribes. Also notable are the early roads that traverse the area between settlements, forts, some topography, and the Tybee Lighthouse. This map has been professionally and archivally cleaned. Very good to excellent restored condition with some mild signss of age. Measures approx. 7.25 x 12.25 inches to the neatline.
